Hi, I’m Shelly mamo.
Welcome to my site! I’m glad you’re here. I am currently based out of Denver, CO. I have been passionate about wellness ever since the day I woke up and my pants didn’t fit. Freshman 15, am I right? I was too broke to buy new pants, so I decided that I should see what the inside of a gym looked like. No seriously, I had no idea what I was doing; I was the kid in school that would do anything to get out of the mile run.
I eventually gathered the courage to attend the weekly Zumba and Bootcamp classes (the buff instructor totally didn’t have anything to do with it at all). And BOOM. These two hours became my favorite hours of the week. It was fun, I met people, my pants started to fit again, but most importantly, my headspace was a whole new place - happy, positive, and capable! That was only the beginning.
I became a group fitness instructor shortly after, then a personal trainer, and eventually a health coach. I have a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management and a master’s degree in Public Health. I have way too many group fitness certifications (Yoga, BodyPump, BodyCombat, Barre, Cycle, TRX, CrossFit Level 1…okay you get). I’m also a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor and a Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator.
I’ve worked in various fitness and wellness environments (corporate gyms, campus recreations, commercial gyms, parks & rec), but I currently serve as a full-time Senior Wellness Coordinator at a big law firm.
My wellness journey started because I needed to lose weight, but I learned that working out, eating heathy, and taking care of yourself means nothing unless you actually LIKE YOURSELF.
I’m here to help you love yourself in a world that constantly tells you that you are not enough. I’ll help you achieve that through movement, connection, and mindfulness (oh, and a heavy dose of laughter).

The body craves movement! Movement can be achieved in so many ways and the best way is really whatever keeps you consistently coming back for more. Society tends to overcomplicated this concept, but just get up and move your body, my friends! The more you move now, the easier it will be to move later - do it for your future self.
mindfulness
Just as the body craves movement, the mind craves stillness. Embracing a habit of mindfulness opens the door to being present, healthy eating , finding fulfillment, and nurturing healthy relationships. Mindfulness increases your ability to respond to situations that life throws at you rather than simply react.
Connection
Reconnect with your authentic self through whatever it is that sets your soul on fire. Reconnect with others who lift you up. Reconnect with the beautiful world around you.
